2 Million Units Sold is Not a Bad Thing

With the recent news that the Zune has now gone over the 2 Million mark in units sold, you would think, judging from the onslaught of naysayers, that it's a bad thing. Think about it! How many iPod commercials do you see each day? I don't know about you but I see many and I don't really like TV. Now, how many Zune commercials? I really can't remember seeing one (perhaps a year or so ago). Take into account that the majority of mp3 players sold are to the major demographic (young/active type) and that these are the same people that commercials are primarily used to influence. For me this all spells success for the Zune, and, I don't care that they only have a 4% market share, what kind of share should they have considering they're lack of advertisement and late start in to the space?   Write Comment (0 Comments)

Engadget vs. Gizmodo - Fight to the Death

Today we saw an article by Stefan over at IHaveaZune.com, its about his preference in the ongoing batter of words that's been going on of late between tech super-blog's Engadget and Gizmodo. He picks Gizmodo do to their openmindedneess regarding Microsofts little player that could (Zune) over Engadgets typical naysayer attitude regarding the up and coming player.

This doesn't surprise us at all. Gizmodo has been on board with Redmond's answer to the iPod from the start. No matter what their reader's have to say about it, and, some have been pretty critical of Gizmodo's enthusiasm, even so much as to suggest that Microsoft may, in some way, be compensating them for the added exposure from one of the internet's coolest tech blogs.
