Microsoft has openly admitted in recent statements that Zune has had its share of difficulties which appear to be mounting of late. With the latest news that Sony Entertainment Corporation and Universal Arts have both reneged on a deal to allow owners of Zune to share music through “The Social” what Microsoft calls the Wi-Fi aspects of the Zune player which allows the sharing for up to three plays for up to three days for every song “Squirted” to another player.

Okay, I very rarely, if ever pick on the Zune, because I really like mine and I hate all the people who tend to “Pile On” when something has yet to get its foot in the door of an already established marketplace. That being said, it’s a sad time when you finally believe the Zune was starting to do just that and has a setback of pretty startling proportions.

When Sony and Universal both said “It’s my ball and I’m going home” they took away a very important aspect of our little PMD, and one that gave it a real niche in the difficult to penetrate world where everybody love Steven.
