I keep reading hundreds (Literally hundreds) of reports that Microsoft does not plan to release a next gen Zune this Holiday season but rather wait until the next year and have the time frame correspond with the Zune's European emergence. The more I think about this scenario the more ludicrous I think it sounds. I can't imagine a company that has made great strides into the mp3 player field (You'll notice I didn't state market because I know the numbers are not that great but believe you me this will change very fast, very soon) would wait around while Apple introduces another iPod (Like they do every week - every heard of the iPod InvisiBo "You can't even see it").

We saw Windows Vista go on sale at midnight across the US and in 70 other countries this morning, and of course, it was no reminder of the near “Cabbage Patch” insanity the last major update spurred back in 1995. However, the media world is still alight with stories from those who have now switched from Apple’s Mac toe those who have tried to upgrade their OS on a UMPC. It’s difficult to say whether or not there will be a rapid relocation from XP users but sure enough we know we’re going to see the migration taking place over the next couple of years and pretty soon it will be on the majority of PC users’ computers. |

Over the past two months Microsoft has allowed many businesses to experience their new OS Windows Vista, according to an interview Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer by Bloomberg News yesterday. “We’re very excited about where we are out of the chute with Windows Vista,” Ballmer said in an interview with Bloomberg. “I expect to see uptake at a pretty good rate relative to my early expectations.” Typical of Ballmer who has be the eternal optimist regarding Vista in many interviews over the past 6 months. In one such interview where Ballmer refuted analysts’ expectations that suggest only about 20% of consumers will initially make the switch to upgrade to Vista over the first year after it’s preliminary release later this month by stating “significantly” more consumers will transition to the new OS during that time. Perhaps his optimism is good news for a somewhat stagnant PC sales marketplace which needs Vista to be an instant winner in hopes of increasing their bottom line this year. |

Are you looking for Windows Vista Wallpapers for your UMPC, laptop or Desktop? Then you need look no further than VistaWallpaper.org. They have a wonderfully designed image gallery that is not only impressive on the eyes but is also impressive in the way they have quickly become one of the rising stars on the wallpaper scene.
A quick look at their stats shows they’re getting hundreds of unique visitors each day (likely in anticipation of Windows Vista OS) and those numbers appear to be growing. I have browsed through their extensive library of Windows Vista Wallpapers and I find something new every time I go back to visit them. I have spoken to the webmaster for them and they told me to expect many new vista wallpapers to be added over the next few weeks leading up to the official release of Windows Vista by Microsoft. They will even be introducing some Vista Themes very soon and have registered their 1,000th member as of this past Saturday, very simply this is a pretty neat website and it's free so I hope you like it. |
