Today Gamespot reported that Microsoft will allow Zune users to purchase music for the player with Microsoft Points as well as Zune Marketplace points. Zune will connect directly to Xbox 360 which allows for music to be played directly through the console.

Today Microsoft has made several announcements, including one for the price of their iPod killer device called Zune. $249.99 is the tag they will place on the Zune player which will be offered for sell at including others Walmart. 

Today Microsoft announced that their music subscription service called Zune Marketplace will offer songs for $14.99 per month for an unlimited subscription and for 79 points (roughly 99¢) for individual tracks. It’s interesting that the 79 points and the point system that Microsoft will be using what appears to be the same or similar to the one that they currently offers with Xbox and the Xbox Marketplace.

On the heels of Microsoft’s official announcement for their Zune Chinese Oriphe Industrial Limited has produced a product that looks suspiciously similar (almost clone-like) .

The MPF2110 comes in 9 colors, some very hideous indeed.

If you visit this page you’ll see that Walmart.com has a full page ad announcing that their online store will allow you to “Get Zune at Walmart.com as soon as it is released”.
